Stickhandler Tier 1 Major Rookies make it two in a row vs. Listowel
The Stickhandler Tier 1 Major Rookies hosted Listowel on July 31st, handing the visitors their second straight defeat. After a scoreless first inning, the locals exploded for 7 runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by back-to-back doubles by Kellen Russwurm and Brock Boville and a 3-run home run by Jordan Visneskie. Lucas Roobroeck tripled in the 3rd and Russwurm and Carson Harmer would add extra-base hits in the 5th as Mitchell built a 15-3 lead. A late rally by Listowel in the 7th would fall short. Jack Small once again provided steady defence beside the pitcher, converting many short ground balls into outs at first.
