Perth County Chrysler Mosquito Team Off to Strong Start
The Perth County Chrysler Mosquito team has started the 2017 ball season strongly.  They opened the season at home early in May against Listowel, and then hit the road for games against Mitchell Dearing and Exeter Blue.  They have went 3-0 to start the young season.

In the home opener early in May, the weather was less than favourable as the thermometer did not reach above 5 degrees during game time.  This had an affect on both teams bats, as Mitchell was able to squeak out a 3-1 win over Listowel # 3.  Strong pitching from all 3 Mitchell pitchers kept the Listowel bats at bay, and when called upon, strong infield defence backed the staff up, limiting the opponents to 1 run.

Game 2 had the Perth County Chrysler Mosquitos play Mitchell Dearing.  In a back and forth game, PCC bats out hit Mitchell Dearing helping PCC escape with the 13-10 win.  The game had to be capped for the time limit, as one final inning would have been very exciting for the sold out crowd in attendance.

In Exeter earlier this week, the extra batting practice that the players have been showing up for was on display.  Every player in the lineup recorded at least one hit.  There were several extra base hits that also found gaps in the outfield.  The pitching staff was again strong and recorded several strikeouts as they battled the elements, as a light rain fell throughout most of the game.  Again, when called upon the defence did it's job recording fly ball outs and some force outs on the base paths.

Great job boys, keep working hard in practice, it has shown in the games.
