Mosquito OBA Defeat St Marys
The Stickhandler Mosquito OBA Astros hosted St Marys on June 23rd, downing their visitors by a final score of 16-5.  Starter Jack Small escaped a bases-loaded jam in the opening inning with a strikeout, and only allowed one more base runner in his two innings of work.  Carson Harmer provided middle relief, and Jack Miller finished up the last inning.

The locals went to work early on the bats, putting up five runs in the bottom half of the opening inning.  Keegan Priestap set the tone with a leadoff triple, driven in on Miller's RBI single to open the scoring.  Dominic Marshall would deliver the big blow, smashing a 3-run homer to right centre to establish the 5-0 lead.  The Astros brought the big bats, hitting a season-high five triples in the game.  Marshall would lead off the fourth with one, and Small, Kellen Russwurm, and Caleb Templeman would also stroke three-baggers.  Additional extra base hits were also recorded by Templeman, Miller, and Josh French.  Miller led with three runs scored, and Priestap, Marshall, Russwurm, Templeman, and Harmer all crossed the plate twice each.
The defensive highlight was catcher Templeman and shortstop French combining to throw out two attempted steals in the third inning.  Pitching was strong for the locals, recording a total of eight strikeouts over five innings.
