PEE WEE #1 WIN AGAIN
The Pee Wee #1 team played a great game against a competitve Exeter team on June 10th in Mitchell.
Exeter took a first inning lead of 2-1 but solid pitching kept the score the same until the fifth. Jake Monden started by pitching four excellent innings. In the fifth, Exeter scored two but Mitchell rallied for four runs in their half of the inning to take a 5-4 lead. Consecutive hits by Alec Murray, Monden, Copeland and a big double by Jared Ramseyer capped the inning. Mitchell scored two more in the sixth with Jackson MacArthur and Reid Ramseyer scoring runs. Exeter scored two runs in their half of the seventh but came up short as Mitchell won 7-6.
Copeland picked up the win on the mound with two strong innings and Tyson McIntosh got the save while pitching the seventh inning.
