WOBA FINAL TOURNAMENT
The Wolfe Flooring Pee Wee #1 team competed in its league playoff tournament last weekend.  From the regular season results of six wins, four losses and two ties, they knew they would face good competition in the "A" Championship division.  The team played in three one run games and ended up with one win and two losses.

Friday night against Exeter #1 Mitchell had a late rally but came up one run short losing 8-7.  Jake MONDEN had a strong pitching performance and Tyson McINTOSH came in and threw one pitch to get out of a fifth inning jam.  Damon KAY started the last inning with a double which sparked the team.  James COPELAND and Reid RAMSEYER had solid hits to score runs.

Saturday morning, Mitchell faced off against North Middlesex for another tight contest.  After each team scored single runs in the first inning the game became a pitching battle.  Curt EIDT allowed three runs in the fourth and pitched his team into the sixth.  McINTOSH again came in to pitch and picked off a runner at second base to end the inning.  That got Mitchell going and the top of the order of EIDT, KAY, MONDEN and RAMSEYER each scored runs in the top of the seventh to give Mitchell a 5-4 lead.  McINTOSH held the oppponents scoreless in the seventh to get the win, but not before picking another runner off second base.

Immediately following the come from behind win, Mitchell faced Exeter #2.  Mitchell came out flying and the first four runners all scored to post Mitchell to an early lead.  RAMSEYER pitched a strong four innings and left with a 4-3 lead. Long fly balls were caught in the outfield by COPELAND, KAY and WALKER to keep the game close, but Exeter rallied and scored three runs in the sixth.  Mitchell replied for one more run but came up short ending the game 7-6.  A solid effort was put in by the entire team in some exciting baseball to finish the season.
