Stratford RV Centre’s Mitchell Minor Red Team met the Exeter Red team in Exeter on Monday, June 20th. They boys played well against the Exeter Red’s. The Mitchell Red’s won the game 21 - 16!
During the first inning of play Jake Richardson started the boys off with a solid hit off of the batting machine! Carter Miller continued to blast the Exeter team with his super power double that flew through centre field! In the bottom of the first, Carson Brown picked up the ball at short and tagged a runner heading to third, while Connor Eisler (pitcher) grabbed a quick hit and raced the batter to first in order to gain the out!
When Mitchell returned to the bats it was Jake Richardson’s turn to slam a double, while Jack Crowley had a beautiful double to left field that drove in two more runs!! At the bottom of the second inning Cater Miller, first baseman, took the game into his own hands with quick feet to get to the ball and snag the runner. Just incase the fans missed it, he made the same play again! Way to go Carter!. The Exeter team soon realized they would not be able to get past the first baseman! They tried to get past the second baseman, but Carter Harris was too quick for them! Harris stuck with the runner who went off the base! Harris easily tagged the runner to obtain the third out of the inning!
In the third inning, Connor Eisler drove in 2 runs with a hard hit off of the machine while Carter Miller hit another double! The Mitchell team was unstoppable! In the bottom of the third Carson Brown, pitcher, tagged the runner heading to first to get the out. A quick moving Carson then nabbed the ball and took the out at home on a forced play, shutting the door on the Exeter team!
Mitchell Minor Red team is back in action next week at home on June 28th! Great game boys!
