Mitchell Lions club jr rookies stay hot
The Mitchell lions club junior rookies continue to climb up the standings in woba jr rookie division. This young team has won 4 of there last 5. At the start of the year this team looked overmatched against there opponents. But as the games have passed, the team continues to improve, and the whole team has been hitting the ball hard, and haven't allowed more than 3 runs an innings, in 4 games. There last 2 games were 21-5 , and 14-8, wins against grand bend and Exeter.
In grand bend the offense was led by ben Kelly and logan Montgomery. Kelly had a 2 rbi double, and Montgomery reached base and scored in each of his plate appearances. Bryson eickmeyer and carson lubbers each made a couple nice put outs in the field. At home against Exeter, Landon van bakel was swinging a big stick, clubbing a bases clearing double for the locals. Cam dietz and lucas dejong were each spark plugs for the locals, hitting the ball hard each time they were up. Nate uniac, Isaak smith, and ben Kelly were all playing top notch defense snagging everything that came there way. With those 2 wins mitchells win streak now has been extended to 4 games
