Game 9
Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Blue Tier 2 Major Rookies welcomed Lieury to Mitchell on Friday, June 24th, 2016.  Mitchell's offense would be the story of the game as they would outscore Lieury by 22 runs.

Recording some big hits for doubles in this game were Wade Campbell, Matthew Menehere, Logan Verberne and Ryan Klumper.  Reaching base at each at bat was Josie Walker, Matthew Menehere, Griffin Bree, Ryan Klumper, and Calum Harris.

In the first inning, Lieury would go down three straight.  The first out would come from Logan Verberne at second base picking up a ground ball for and easy out for first baseman Keegan Priestap. Logan Verberne and Keegan Priestap would hook up again for the second out and Keegan would pick up a line drive to first base to record the final out.  Mitchell would record 6 runs to take the lead 6 to 0.

At the top of the second Lieury would have 2 runs cross home plate.  Mitchell's defense would once again shine with Wade Campbell at pitcher throwing out to Josie Walker at first base.  The second out would come on strikes and the third out by second basemen Olen Hopf to Josie Walker at first.  Mitchell would go on to drive in a maximum 7 runs to make the score 13 to 2.

Lieury would have their strongest offensive effort in the third inning scoring the maximum of 7 runs.  On defense Mitchell would see Matthew Menehere at pitcher hit Brooklyn Boville on 3rd to record the only outs of the inning. Mitchell would counter with 6 runs to make the score 19 to 9.

In the fourth inning Lieury would succumb to Mitchell's defense not recording a score.  Keegan Priestap would record the first out at first base, the second batter would go down on strikes and Keegan Priestap would record the third out.  Mitchell would go on to record another 7 runs to take the lead 26 to 9.

In the final inning Lieury would put together a 3 run effort.  Mitchell defense lead by Brooklyn Boville at pitcher would see her throw to Josie Walker for the first out.   Josie Walker would record the second out on a line drive to first base and then Brooklyn would catch a runner headed home for a spectacular out with Keegan Priestap at Catcher.
