Perth County Chrysler Mosquitos Enjoy Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Day
On Saturday June 24 the Perth County Chrysler Mosquito team participated in an exhibition game.  After a team they were scheduled to play, had to cancel, emergency efforts were taken in order to find players to make two teams.  Players from Southwest London Scorpions, St. Marys and the other Mitchell Mosquito games were recruited and the teams divided up.

The game was a back and forth affair.  When the visiting teams looked like they were about to pull ahead, the home team would answer in their half of the inning with their share of runs.  Players that have not tried pitching yet this season, were called to the mound, and pitched like young Doc Hallidays.  There were several hard hits and some thievery of bases that would have made Vladdy Guerrero smile.  On the defensive side, there were brothers striking out brothers, several ground ball outs, fly ball outs in the outfield and a line drive caught by one of the pitchers that earned a star beside it in the score book.
When the last out was recorded, the visiting side came out on top by 1, costing the home coach a dinner!  All in all, it was a great experience for all the kids, a great game of baseball on a day in which the game is celebrated in Canada.  The boys left the field with smiles and even a few new friends.
