Mosquito OBA Hang On To Edge Listowel 8-7
The Stickhandler Mosquito OBA Astros hosted Listowel on August 6th, narrowly escaping with an 8-7 win.
Starter Jordan Visneskie scattered five hits through 6 1/3 innings for the win, relieved by Keegan Priestap and Ryan Hubbard, who together tallied six strikeouts in the game.

After a scoreless top of the opening inning, the Astro bats immediately went to work as Carson Harmer reached based on an error and scored on Josh French's RBI triple in the gap, who then trotted home on a throwing error back into the infield.  With Jack Small on board with a leadoff double in the second inning, Lucas Roobroeck reached on an HBP, and Kellen Russwurm followed with a two-run triple to deep right field. Priestap plated Russwurm with an RBI groundout to take a 5-0 lead.  Russwurm would again stroke an RBI triple in the fourth to put the locals up by a score of 8-1.
Listowel would claw back with two runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh, but fell one run short of a comeback.
Scoring two runs each were Small and Roobroeck, and Harmer also recorded an extra base hit and stolen base, and made a diving catch in left field.  Jack Miller reached base in both at-bats.
