BANTAM OBA END LEAGUE HOME OPENER IN A TIE
The
Zehr Insurance Bantam OBA team’s LDBA Home Opener kicked off the boy’s summer
holidays with a 5 to 5 tie with the Sarnia Braves.
Fans from both towns enjoyed an evenly matched game that could have went either way.
Mitchell tied the game up at the bottom of the 6th. The winning run was on 3rd but, in an attempt to steal home to get the win, Sarnia made a perfect throw to home plate and the inning was over.
Tanner DIETZ, Ben SMALL and Wyatt HUITEMA each scored once while Darren DIXON added a deuce to make five.
Josh EIDT pitched 4 and a half solid innings and closer, Eric GETTLER, finished off the game in fine form striking out two of Sarnia's batters.
