Mitchell 17, Goderich 13: Team Harris Rebounds with a Solid Victory
The Fuller Tool Sales Minor Rookie Team Harris had a stellar June, going 5-2 and firmly holding down 3rd in their division. In the last game of June, Team Harris hosted the Goderich Seahawks. Team Harris has yet to lose two in a row and, true to form, after the loss on Mitchell Minor Ball day, Team Harris bounced back with a solid win. The team rallied in the 3rd to pull ahead and ultimately win the game.
The Team Harris hitters struck again. A few Harris players have epic hit streaks going that will continue on into July. Keith Linton has gotten on base 13 times in a row, with that streak extending over 6 games. Seth Brown's hit streak is currently 11 in a row, extending over 5 games. Carson Lubbers has a 14-in-a-row streak going, all off the machine, over 6 games, and he also recorded all 3 outs in the first inning. Way to go, guys!
The rest of the team continues to hit and score, keeping any and all opponents on their toes. Sean Gibbings and Carter Harris both went 3-3 off the machine, with Gibbings hitting a solid single in the 1st. Thomas Schoonderwoerd and Kayla Visneskie went 2-3 and scored both times they got on base. Lincoln Laverty and Elyn Hannon showed tremendous hustle, going 2-3, and always running hard to beat the tag at 1st. Max Brodhagen and Reegan Vessie both went 1-2 on the day, with Vessie coming into score in the 2nd.
