Major Mosquito OBA Sweep Double-Header
The Mitchell Stickhandler Major Mosquito OBA Astros hosted the Stratford Nationals on July 28th for a double-header, taking the opening game 13-3 and the following game by a score of 16-11.

Jordan Visneskie started game one, efficiently tossing a two-hitter with two walks and two strikeouts before yielding to Ben Medhurst to finish up.
Carson Harmer, Dominic Marshall, Jack Miller, and Joel Meinen led on the basepaths, each scoring two runs with Harmer and Marshall also recording a stolen base.  Miller and Dawson White were each 2-for-3 with a triple and 3 RBI's, and Meinen laid down two beautiful bunts, including one for a two-out infield single and would score on White's RBI base hit.  Ryan Hubbard drove in the game-winning run with an RBI double in the sixth.
Starting game two was Keegan Priestap, who like Visneskie in game one was promptly greeted with two runs in the top half of the opening inning.  The locals responded back in the bottom half with three of their own runs on a walk, a base hit, two Stratford errors, and three stolen bases.  Stratford erupted for six runs in the top of the third to take an 8-3 lead, chasing Priestap on pitch count maximum.  Hubbard would come on to relieve, only allowing two more runs the rest of the way.  The Astros would claw back with ten more runs combined over the next three innings to retake and hold the lead.
Harmer and Visneskie each scored three runs, and Kellen Russwurm, Meinen, and White each chipped in with two.  Extra base hits were recorded by Miller and Hubbard.
