The D.L. Hannon Minor Mosquitos remain hot
The D.L. Hannon Minor Mosquitos remain hot with a 22-8 victory over Exeter Express in their final game before the WOBA Year end Tournament. Mitchell had a slow start offensively as Exeter would out score them in the 1st inning, with Zack Siemon Hergot scoring the only run for Mitchell in this inning. Carson Brown would start the scoring in top of the 2nd inning on an RBI double from Logan Verberne.  Charlie Wolfe would follow it up crushing a triple to bring in Verberne.  Wolfe would score on an RBI single by Ethan Jarmuth, who along with Brayden Pennings would round out the scoring in this inning.


Mitchell remained strong defensively in the bottom of the 2nd inning allowing only one run and would pick up 6 runs in the top of the 3rd inning with Evan Janssen picking up a double RBI at the end of the inning to bring in Olen Hopf and Braden Hoegy.

Bottom of the third inning Logan Verberne made a great throw from home plate to Ethan Jarmuth to get the runner at 2nd, for the second out of the inning.

Mitchell would pick up 3 more runs in the top of the 4th inning, one of which was a two-run home run by Jarmuth, who brought in Charlie Wolfe on the play.

Bottom of the 4th Mitchell held Exeter scoreless allowing no runs and would add 6 more runs to their comfortable lead in the top of the 5th.  Mitchell would finish the game strong allowing no runs in the bottom of the fifth with a great play by Jarmuth at the plate to Verberne for the first out of the inning, Wolfe would finish the inning with two strike outs.

Max Hannon started on the mound for Mitchell recording 3 strike outs.  Hannon would be relieved by Brayden Pennings in the 2nd inning who would strike out 2 of the 4 batters he faced.  Olen Hopf would take over in the third inning and Charlie Wolfe would close out the game.
