Peewee OBA Astros Reel Off Four Straight Wins
The Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros opened up a four games in four days stretch by dumping the Kitchener Panthers 14-5 in ICBA action on May 31st in Mitchell.

Kitchener opened the scoring early with a two-out RBI double in the first inning, but starter Keegan Priestap would settle in after that, going five innings with six strikeouts.  Josh French finished up with two innings of relief, giving up zero hits with three strikeouts.  Dominic Marshall led at the plate going 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored.  Each Mitchell batter would score at least once, and Brennan Ward reached base safely in all three at-bats.
Next up was hosting a double-header with Stratford on June 2nd, with Carson Harmer drawing the start on the mound in what proved to be a lopsided 16-1 Astros victory.  Jack Miller would finish up with two innings of relief.  The high-octane offense was on display again, as all Mitchell batters would score at least once with Priestap scoring three times.  After a BBQ lunch break, the Astro bats would explode for 19 runs of hot dog power in the second game to record a 19-5 win.  Kellen Russwurm paced the attack going 3-for-3 with two triples and three runs scored.  Extra-base hits were also recorded by Joel Meinen, Ryan Hubbard, Marshall, and French, and Harmer would also score three times.  Jordan Visneskie started for the Astros, with Cody Bach pitching in middle relief, and Hubbard striking out the side to end the game.
Mitchell would then travel to Stratford to face the Nationals for the third time in two days, returning home with a 15-5 victory.  After a scoreless first inning, Caleb Templeman opened the second inning with a leadoff triple in the gap, scoring on Jarrett Van Bakel's RBI single.  Meinen and Priestap would follow with consecutive base hits to take a 3-0 lead. Van Bakel started for the Astros, throwing four scoreless innings before moving to right field and recording an assist gunning a runner out at first on a hard line drive.  Marshall would come in for middle relief for two innings before giving way to French to finish out the game.  Van Bakel reached safely in all four at-bats, scoring three times.  French would also cross the plate three times, and Marshall and Hubbard each twice.
Next up for the Astros is competing in the annual Kincardine Peewee Tournament this coming weekend, opening with a 7pm matchup against Flesherton on Friday night.
