Week 2, 1 and 1
The Stratford RV Minor Rookies had a two-game week May 23rd and 26th finishing with one win and one loss adding to their record.

May 23rd highlights would include an outstanding effort put forth from the squad shutting down the inning with just 4 batters and 3 outs. The crowd went wild as Cameron Dietz cupped a fly ball followed by a touched 1st base to get the runner out for his 1st double play of the season. Up to bat the team would go through the entire lineup maxing out with 7 runs in the same inning. Innings 2 and 3 would prove to be eventful on both sides with the Mustangs answering back at bat with 7 runs in the 2nd. The Stratford RV Minor Rookies would not let their glory be taken as they followed through with 7 including a smash hit from Miranda Scherbarth to start their 2nd inning at bat all the way through to last batter Cole Templeman who again never failed to show the Mustangs his strength in swing. Ending the game with just 3 innings, the last would heighten the excitement as the little Baby Ruth's closed in their 1st win of the season. Caleb Pennings would show his consistency with a stellar hit landing him on base followed by his teamates, batter after batter, hits from Owen Jarmuth, Phoebe Wood and Lucas Dejong just to name a few. The team proudly shook hands with the Mustangs to conclude their evening with a final score of 21-14.

MAY 26th the Stratford RV Minor Rookies would play their home base opponents the Mitchell Minor Rookie Harris team. The team would go head to head with the boys and girls in blue all the way through 3 innings. Scoring 5 runs in the 1st, the home team Rookies would fall behind 2 runs ending inning 1 with a trailing score of 7-5. The team would not lose their drive however, and would follow through the 2nd with 3 runs  scored from Ethan Faulhaffer,  Cam Dietz and Liam Baker.  Rising to the occasion beginning the 3rd with a 12-8 trail the Stratford RV Minor Rookies kept on working hard in attempt to gain the lead. The final inning would show 7 runs scored for each team to end the game. No shame to show, a great game played in the heart of Mitchell, the Rookies would come up shy at the end of 3 with a score of 19-15, but with big smiles anyways.
