Mitchell Scotia Bank Win WOBA Pee Wee Division 4 Tournament in Flesherton
Game 1 vs Clinton didn't start out well for Mitchell Scotia Bank, hitting into two line drive double plays in the first three innings and Clinton lead 9 - 1. Matthew Crawford came into pitch and held down Clinton but Mitchell's bats couldn't erase the large deficit and the game ended 10 - 7.  Drew Scherbarth had three hits and Marek Hopf had two doubles in the loss.

Game 2 vs Walkerton was in jeopardy in the second inning when Matthew Miller was called out of the bullpen with the bases loaded and two runs already across. Miller got out of the inning only trailing 4 - 3 and he would only allow two more earned runs the rest of the game.  The bats came alive in the bottom of the second, scoring the maximum six runs, followed by another 6 run inning in the fourth.  PJ Marshall had three hits and five other players (Tanner Meinen, Drew Scherbarth, Liam Wallace, Danny Van Stratten & Sy Dow) reached base safely every at bat in the 15 - 7 win.

Game 3 vs Flesherton had Scherbarth on the mound but when he left the game after three innings Mitchell was behind 3 - 2.  In the bottom of the inning Mitchell would score two runs to go up 4-3.  In relief, PJ Marshall held Flesherton off the score sheet in the 4th and after Mitchell's first two batters got on, Joel Meinen battle out a 10 pitch at bat and drove in a run which was followed by Seth Huygen's triple.  Then with two on and two out, Scherbarth hit a massive three run home run over the fence to complete the 6 run inning. That was all the runs required to advance to the semi-finals with a 10 - 5 win.

Semi Finals vs Mitchell Cycle, with two out in the first, Tanner Meinen got things started for Mitchell Scotia Bank with a double leading to two runs.  Mitchell Cycle answered back, after walks to Coutler Rolph and Brett Porrier, they scored on Kayden Vosper's single who then proceeded to steal and score, taking the lead 3 - 2.  In the second Danny Van Stratten and Matthew Miller got on to start the inning and, Sy Dow rallied the troops with a double off the fence and Crawford singled him home and also came around to score.   PJ Marshall came into pitch in the middle of the second and only gave up one run the rest of the way.  In the 5th inning Drew Scherbarth extended the lead, knocking another pitch out of the park. The final: Mitchell Scotia Bank 9 - Mitchell Cycle 5.

Finals vs Clinton was a rematch of the opening game of the Tournament.  Catcher Drew Scherbarth set the tone early throwing out the leadoff batter who singled and tried stealing second base.  In the bottom of the first Seth Hugyen led off with a walk followed by singles from Crawford & Tanner Meinen who would score on Scherbarth triple.  In the third, with one run already across for Clinton, Liam Wallace would add to Mitchell's momentum throwing a bullet from centerfield to cut down the runner at home plate.  In the fourth, Danny Van Stratten added to the lead with an inside the park home run.  Tanner Meinen maxed out his pitch count in the fifth inning having only allowed the one unearned run.  In the sixth, Wallace singled home Tanner which was followed up by a Van Stratten triple off the fence giving Mitchell a 6 - 2 lead.  PJ Marshall was on the mound again in the seventh inning to close things out and with the help of Seth Huygen who (for the second time in the game) ranged up the middle on a ground ball, stepped on second and threw it on to first for the double play.  Mitchell celebrates the tournament win with great contributions from all.
