Peewee House League Week 2 Roundup
Submitted By Trevor Russwurm on Thu 08 06, 20
Team Blue (Visneskie) had the double-header this week at Cooper Field, with a 4-4 tie vs Team Red (Geiger) followed by dropping an 11-9 decision to Team Green (Russwurm).

In the opening game, Team Red began the bottom of the 4th down 4-0 to Team Blue, but rallied to get their first four batters on base.  Ethan Jarmuth delivered the game-tying double to end the match in a 4-4 tie.
In the second game, both teams would score every inning in a back-and-forth affair, but Team Green would enter the last inning with a comfortable 11-5 lead.  Team Blue would rally for their max allowable 4 runs in the inning, but fell short with an 11-9 final score.  A pair of runs were each scored for Team Green by Dominic Marshall, Jonah Gibbings, Keegan Priestap, and Kellen Russwurm.  Wade Campbell paced the attack with two doubles, and Priestap drove in four runs with a triple and two singles.  Team Blue was led by Max Hannon and Jordan Visneskie each with a pair of runs scored, and extra-base hits were recorded by Nick Wagner, Zack Siemon-Hergott, and Visneskie.
League exhibition play will resume on Aug 12th, with Team Red playing the double-header.
