In local Peewee House League action on Aug 19th, Team Green (Russwurm) drew the double-header, dropping a 10-7 decision to Team Blue (Visneskie), and rebounding with an 11-5 victory over Team Red (Geiger).

For Team Green, Dominic Marshall reached base in all six at-bats over both games, stroking two doubles and a triple and driving in five runs.  In pitching highlights, game one starter Keegan Priestap struck out the side 1-2-3 to open the first inning.  In game two, Trae Nielsen, Elijah Bender, and Jonah Gibbings also reached base safely in all at-bats, with Nielsen leading off and scoring twice.  Kellen Russwurm had the only other extra-base hit, an RBI double in the 4th inning.  Team Green pitchers recorded a total of six strikeouts in the second game, including another three up three down by Priestap in the second inning.
On Team Blue, Nick Wagner, Max Hannon, and Jack Miller reached base in every at-bat, with Wagner recording a single, double, walk and three runs scored.  Two runs each were scored by Hayden Nicholson and Hannon.  Starter Hannon also recorded three strikeouts, and reliever Miller followed with a 1-2-3 in his inning of work.
For Team Red, catcher Carson Harmer homered again for the second consecutive week with a solo shot in the first inning and scored another run in the third.  Griffin Bree, Olen Hopf, and Ethan Jarmuth also scored single runs, and Joel Meinen and Jarmuth reached base safely in each at-bat.  Charlie Geiger started on the mound, and Bree, Meinen, and Hopf all saw relief action.
