Week 4 recap

Week 4 of the mosquito housleague is in the books

Team red 10 - Team blue 9
Team red 6  -  Team black 7

In the first game of the night, team red pulled out a 1 run victory over team blue. Josh cook reached base 3 times, with 2 hits and walk, while logan Montgomery and jack Crowley each score twice to lead the offense. Michael "waterdown superfan" coyne made a big catch in the outfield. Sean gibbings, Crowley, Carson brown, and connor wolfe shared the pitching duties in the win. For team blue wes berendsen reached base every at bat, while scoring all 3 times.Landon van bakel drove in 2 runs with a single to try and spur the comeback. Ray wolfe also had a double to drive in a run as well. On the mound, cam dietz, berendsen, and coyne shared the pitching assignment, combining for 5 strikeouts over 3 innings. Team blue rallied late with a big inning, but in the end came up 1 run short of completing the comeback

In the second game of the night, team black had a balanced offense. They had 5 different players score runs, with Hudson porter, cole templeman and Isaak smith all reaching base twice. Owen beuerman, keith linton and owen jarmuth combined for the winning effort on the hill. For team red, Ainsley berendsen drove in 2 runs with a single in the 1st inning. Carson brown and sean gibbings also reached base 3 times to try and spark the offense. Brown, Logan Montgomery and berendsen all tossed an inning. Brown struck out the side in his 1 inning of work.
