Peewee House League Roundup
In local Peewee House League baseball action on Sept 2, Team Blue staged a thrilling 9-8 comeback win over Team Red, but dropped an 11-5 decision to Team Green in the second game of a doubleheader at Cooper Field.

Backed by two runs each scored by Keegan Priestap and Carson Harmer, Team Red entered the last inning of game one with an 8-5 lead.  Bryce Otten opened the top of the 4th with a walk, followed by a Jordan Visneskie double and suddenly Team Blue stunned Team Red with four unanswered runs to take the lead 9-8.  Team Blue followed up by striking out the side in the bottom half to preserve the victory.
In the second game, Team Green tagged starter Otten for three runs in the opening inning, while Team Red starter Wade Campbell and reliever Charlie Wolfe (striking out the side in the second) kept the Blue bats off the board for two innings.  Team Red added four more runs in the third to race out to a 7-0 lead before Team Blue would answer back with four runs of their own in the third.  Jonah Gibbings walked and scored three runs for Team Red, while Harmer stroked an RBI double for Team Blue.
The final week of games is Sept 9th at Cooper Field starting at 6pm.
