2021 Baseball Season, News (Mitchell Minor Baseball)

Mitchell Minor Baseball executives have met, and decided on the following actions moving forward

Online registration will open up sometime over the next couple days, keep checking the website for updates. MMB is asking anyone interested in having there child play baseball this summer, to  register at this time. No money will be collected yet.  The plan is to definitely run something this summer. This depends heavily on what other local associations choose to do. If no one else chooses to play, we may just be doing an in town houseleague again. But if others run as well, then there may be a localized WOBA loop formed to play in smaller "bubbles" over the course of the summer. And possibly if things open up slightly, there may be opportunities to form some OBA teams, and get some games against other centres OBA teams. A lot is still up in the air, that is why we aren't collecting any funds at this point. Down the road in the spring, once we get a better idea of what the summer will look like, rates will be set. At this point  you will have a short period of time to make your payment, therefore finalizing your childs registration form this would also be your opportunity to withdrawal. MMB needs everyone to register early so we can make plans such as uniforms, coaches, insurances. If you choose not to register, there is no guarantees that there will be a spot held for your child at a later date. MMB also plans to run some indoor training on the arena ice pad sometime in late april, and this will only be made available to those that are already registered. Updates will be made available over the next couple months, but I can assure you the MMB executive are determined to do anything we can to provide some form of baseball for the kids this summer.
