Mitchell Minor Baseball is pleased to announce the initiation of a new fall evaluation process for the upcoming 2026 baseball season.
Mitchell Minor Baseball experienced a very hurried & stressful spring tryout session this past year, due largely in part to earlier roster deadlines being imposed by Baseball Ontario. Combined with the wet spring weather and late start on the diamonds, it made for a very pressured environment for our coaching staff to conduct tryouts in a proper & efficient manner.
For the 2026 season, fall evaluations will be introduced where applicable, taking place during the last two weeks of September which should minimize conflict with hockey tryouts.
Depending on registration numbers, Rep/OBA teams may not be finalized until the spring. Our goal is to help streamline the process and reduce the number of players participating in spring tryouts, and facilitate off-season indoor workouts within smaller groups to help development.
