Season Openers
The Stratford RV Minor Rookies took to the diamond on Monday, May 14th for the 1st game of the 2018 Season against their home town opponents, Minor Rookie Crawford at 6:30.
With weather on their side, the Rookies came out with game faces on looking for a night of fun and excitement vs their buddies on the other Mitchell Rookie team. Starting the line up for the evening, Karson Wolfe would come out all smiles ready to face anything with a great hit down the infield winding up on base for the 1st of the Season. Like wise his team mates would follow, batting like they had been practicing on indoor turf all Winter long...
In the field, the Stratford RV Rookies would continue their stamina, making plays, achieving an out here and there, including a play at 3rd base by Weston Bannon in the 1st inning getting the runner out. Not taking the 1st game of the year too far, the game would go to a simple 3 innings with every batter hitting at least once, ending the order with Lewis Marshall's hit, as well as every runner crossing the home plate several times. The end result would show hard work put forth for both teams.
