MITCHELL PEE WEE OBA TOURNAMENT
The Wolfe Flooring Mitchell Pee Wee OBA team had a successful weekend in its own tournament this past weekend.  After opening with three (3) round robin wins, Mitchell lost out in the semi-finals Sunday morning.

Friday night, in the team's opening game, Mitchell rallied from being down 4 - 1 in the third and won 17 - 6 against Mansfield.  Mitchell got to Mansfield's second pitcher and exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the third.  Curtis EIDT and Kyle RICHARDSON pitched well in the victory.  Lead off hitter, Ryan HARMER, scored three (3) runs.

Saturday morning Mitchell battled rival Exeter in a great game.  Mitchell rallied for three (3) runs in the sixth and one (1) run in the seventh for a come from behind 8 - 7 win.  Once again Mitchell catitalized on the opponent's pitching change in the sixth inning.  Ben SMALL had a great start on the mound with Callum McMANN coming in to pick up the win.  Drew McLEAN started the sixth inning rally with a huge triple and Tyler ROOBROECK had a two RBI single to cap off the rally.  Reid RAMSEYER crushed a double and later scored on McMANN's single for the winning run.

With momentum on their side, Mitchell cruised to an easy 27 - 4 victory over the London Tin Cups later in the day.  Everything went right as Jake MONDEN pitched an effective first three innings and ROOBROECK finished up on the mound.  HARMER had a huge game and scored five (5) runs.

In the semi-finals on Sunday morning Mitchell started off hot.  Some great pitching and defence gave Mitchell a 3 - 1 lead over Delaware after four innings.  McMANN caught a rocket line drive at first base with the bases loaded to end the second.  Outfielders, James COPELAND, HARMER, RICHARDSON and Jackson MacARTHUR all made outstanding plays during the game. But, in the fifth inning, a couple of defensive miscues and two (2) timely hits produced five (5) Delaware runs.  Mitchell replied for one of their own runs in the bottom half of the inning to make the game 6 - 4 but Delaware got three (3) more runs in the sixth to put the game away and they won 9 - 5.  EIDT had a strong game pitching 4-2/3 innings, McMANN pitching 1-1/3 and MONDEN pitching the seventh inning.  MacLEAN had two RBI's while McMANN, MacARTHUR and RAMSEYER hit in the other runs.  It was a well played game by both teams which did not go Mitchell's way in the end.
