Mosquito OBA Drop Exhibition Game to London Tecumsehs
The Stickhandler Mosquito OBA Astros travelled to London on August 11th for an exhibition matchup with the LDBA first-place London Tecumseh Major Mosquitos. Facing an opponent with strong pitching and defense, the locals held their own in a 7-3 loss that could have been even closer without a couple of costly errors.

Josh French stroked a two-out triple in the opening inning but was left stranded, and the home team responded with an RBI double in the bottom half to take a 2-0 lead.  London broke it open in the fourth with four more runs to take a 7-0 lead, aided by a couple of throwing errors.  Mitchell finally got on the board in the fifth as Jordan Visneskie reached base on an HBP, scoring on Jack Small's RBI triple into the left field corner.  The Astros would silence the Tecumseh bats for the remainder of the game, and mount a rally in the top of the seventh for two more runs.  Jarrett Van Bakel was issued a two-out walk and scored on Visneskie's triple in the right-centre gap.  Caleb Templeman drove in Visneskie with a base hit, but a groundout to short ended the game.
Dominic Marshall started on the mound for Mitchell, relieved by Ryan Hubbard, with Templeman finishing up. Great effort by the boys against a very strong higher-ranked opponent!
