Mitchell 20, St. Mary's 10: Team Harris Gets a Big Win on the Road
Team Harris went on the road and delivered a resounding win against a feisty St. Mary's club. They must have been trying to get their names into the Baseball Hall of Fame with that performance. The Astros showed the depth of their lineup as those hitting machines doubled St. Mary's 20-10.
Team Harris came out of the gate full steam ahead, maxing out at 7 runs in the first inning. Both Sean Gibbings and Carson Lubbers showed Bautista-like power, hitting for doubles.
Kayla Visneskie and Lincoln Vandervelde displayed cat-like reflexes, like Tulo, at the plate. Carter Harris and Lincoln Laverty both went 3-3 off the machine and scored on all 3 at bats. Coach Harris must have showed them classic Alomar tapes before the game. Thomas Schoonderwoerd and Keith Linton exemplified patience at the plate, like the red-hot Travis, both with solid at-bats.
Max Brodhagen was Stroman-esque at pitcher, while Reegan Vessie showed shades of Donaldson with his great play at 3rd Base and Seth Brown channelled his inner Pillar with his defensive play.
Way to go, Team Harris! Our next game is Monday vs Team Wolfe on C Diamond and we're on the road again on Tuesday. We're headed to Exeter, Home of the White Squirrel, to challenge The Express.
