D.L. Hannon Mosquito OBA's Split a Pair
The Mitchell Mosquito OBAs stated the month of June with the a game being played in Listowel,on June 1st. The team started out strong in the first inning with 4 runs batted in, and only allowed Listowel to score one.  But trouble started in the second for Mitchell, when Listowel found their bats and started hitting into the gaps, advancing runners into scoring position, to take the lead. Mitchell battled back with strong outings in the 4th and 6th, with Jonah Gibbings and Logan Verberne each adding 2 RBIs helping the Astros to close the gap.  Despite the last inning 5 run rally, Mitchell ended up losing 19-15 in a hard-fought battle.

Sunday June 2nd, the game was held in Mitchell facing Clinton for their second go of the year, where Clinton took the win.

The game started out with a quick first inning for the Astros, but Clinton was able to sneak a few runs in during the second and third to take the lead from the home team.

With the Astros scoring a run in the second, Mitchell was able to chisel back a few runs when Braeden Hoegy started off the third with a big hit creating some momentum for the team. They went on to score an additional three runs in the third, which put left the Astros trailing by two.

Clinton was able to add two more in the top of the fourth, but in the bottom half of the inning, Charlie Wolfe started the boys off with a strong single. The Astros were able to carry this momentum throughout the remainder of the fourth,  scoring 7 additional runs, giving the Astros the lead for the second time in the game. Then smart defense on the field held Clinton off for the next two innings, giving the D.L. Hannon Astros a big 12-8 come-back win, to wrap-up the weekend.

Great weekend of ball, Boys!
