Visneskie Grand Slam Paces Peewee Offense in Brantford
Highlighted by Jordan Visneskie's grand slam home run in the top of the third inning, the Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros put on a full offensive assault May 27th in Brantford, returning home with an 18-2 mercy victory after 4 innings of play.

The high-octane Astro offense went to work quickly in this matchup, loading the bases on a one-out single by Jarrett Van Bakel and back-to-back walks to Josh French and Joel Meinen.  After Caleb Templeman's RBI groundout opened the scoring, Kellen Russwurm followed with a two-run double to build a 3-0 lead.  Visneskie would then drive in his first two of six runs with a base hit, and the score was 7-1 after the first.
Mitchell would open up the floodgates again in the third, putting a total of 8 runs across as Brantford ran into pitching issues with several walks to put Mitchell runners aboard.
Templeman drew the start on the mound, tossing a tidy one-run three-hitter with four strikeouts in his two innings of work.  Jack Miller would finish up the final two innings, only allowing one base runner with two strikeouts and solid defense up the middle.
The Astros host Kitchener Panthers #2 this Friday May 31st at Cooper Standard Field in Mitchell at 7pm.
