Peewee OBA, 13U PeeWee, 2019 (Mitchell Minor Baseball)

The Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros ended their season on a disappointing note, going 2-2 in the OBA Peewee 'C' Championships in Waterdown on Labour Day Weekend.  The Astros were eliminated early Saturday evening by tournament finalist Port Lambton Pirates in a heartbreaking 9-8 loss in 9 innings, a tight game that took three hours to complete.

The Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros held off playoff elimination three times this past week, with a lopsided win over #1 seed Listowel Legionnaires plus walk-off wins over Waterloo and Cambridge.  The locals finally succumbed to Cambridge in the final game, as they were previously undefeated and had to be beaten twice.

The Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros returned home a tired bunch from the trip to Cooperstown, NY, but went right back to work on Friday August 16th as the ICBA Playoff Tournament began, hosted by the Stratford Nationals.

The Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros recently returned from competing in a tournament at Cooperstown All-Star Village, placing 7th out of 60 teams in the round robin play with a record of 5-0-1 before falling in the final 16 of the playoff round.  A large contingent of parents and siblings (plus G-Hubb) joined the team in support, camping at nearby Hartwick Highlands as well as two families renting a house a mere two minute drive from the facility.

Carson Harmer, Jack Miller, and Caleb Templeman combined on a six-hitter as the Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros closed out their 2019 ICBA regular season with a 14-3 win at Kitchener Panthers 2 on August 7th.
