Peewee OBA Close Out Regular Season With Road Win In Kitchener
Carson Harmer, Jack Miller, and Caleb Templeman combined on a six-hitter as the Mitchell Stratford RV Peewee OBA Astros closed out their 2019 ICBA regular season with a 14-3 win at Kitchener Panthers 2 on August 7th.

Harmer started on the mound and threw the opening two innings, Miller followed with two innings of middle relief, and Templeman closed out the win with three innings of shutout ball with four strikeouts.  Cody Bach had the defensive gem of the game with a diving catch in right field on a shallow popup.
Offensively, the Astros chipped away all game, scoring every inning but one.  Jarrett Van Bakel scored the game's first run, opening with a one-out base hit and cruising home on Jordan Visneskie's RBI triple.  Bach would drive in Visneskie for a 2-0 lead.  Leading 9-3 after six innings of play, the Astros would add five insurance runs in the last inning paced by Visneskie's second triple of the game.  Extra base hits were also recorded by Harmer with a deep ground-rule double to right centre that bounced over the fence, and Bach with an RBI triple.  Visneskie led with four runs scored, and Dominic Marshall and Joel Meinen each had two walks.
Next up the Peewees leave for Cooperstown, NY with registration and opening ceremonies on Saturday August 10th.  Tournament play begins on Sunday the 11th, hosting the Warrington Wolves from Pennsylvania.
Good luck Astros!
