Slow Start costs Walther's IDA Tier 2
On Monday June 1, the Walther's IDA Tier 2 team hosted the Clinton Mustangs. Clinton came to town with a large and strong team and took the lead in the first inning scoring 6 runs, making the locals work hard for their outs. The home team played tough for the next four innings, but were unable to climb out of their first inning hole, dropping the game 10-4.
Mitchell played well defensively for the next four innings, with great plays made by Joel Meinen, Payton Wood, Brandon Dietrich and Raylynn Bambrough. Mitchell would finally break their goose egg with a strong fourth inning with base hits by Jade Huygen, Dietrich, Jordan Visneskie, Ben Medhurst and Darius Ladd. Dietrich's bat stayed hot in the fifth as he pounded a double driving in yet another run this season. Good Luck next game team, as they will host North Middlesex Lieury on Tuesday June 9.
