Rookies Keep Rolling With Road Win in St Marys
The Mitchell Stickhandler Tier 1 Major Rookie Astros traveled to St Marys on July 8th, returning home with a 26-1 rain-shortened victory over the local Minor squad.
The Astros jumped on the bats quickly in the first inning, as Dominic Marshall, Hayden Nicholson, Jack Miller, Jordan Visneskie, and Kellen Russwurm all hit RBI doubles to pace the 7-run opening attack.
Ben Medhurst, Carson Harmer, Charlie Geiger, Zach Houben, Marshall, Miller, Visneskie, and Russwurm all reached base safely in each at-bat. Harmer led with 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored, with Medhurst, Geiger, and Houben also plating 3 runs each. Visneskie and Russwurm each recorded two extra-base hits.
