The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros hosted Listowel Legionnaires #2 on June 8th, dropping a 15-14 decision that came down to the last batter of the game. Trailing 15-9 going into the last inning, the Astros rallied with one out as Josh French stroked a two-run double scoring Brennan Ward and Kellen Russwurm. Jordan Visneskie and Max VanderVelde also reached base, followed by another RBI double by Blake Redfern. After Carter O'Brien grounded out, Lincoln Lorentz drew a two-out walk. Redfern promptly stole third and the tying run was 65 feet away, but Jacob Bye popped out to shortstop to end the threat. Starting pitcher Russwurm worked a clean opening inning, but got into control problems in the second as Listowel scored six runs on multiple walks. O'Brien and Visneskie followed in relief. Ward and Russwurm paced the attack, reaching base safely in each at bat and scoring three runs each. Visneskie scored a pair and singles were added by O'Brien, Lorentz, Bye, and Payton Kainz.
