Mosquitos Rebound With Win in St Marys
The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros travelled to St Marys on July 27th, returning home with an 18-6 victory.
The locals took advantage of some inconsistent pitching in the game, drawing a total of eight walks, including three in the opening inning to build a 6-0 lead. Jordan Visneskie and Josh French led at the plate, with Visneskie going 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles, an HBP and four runs scored. French also stroked a double and scored four times. Scoring twice each were Nolan Vessie, Blake Redfern, Kellen Russwurm, Brennan Ward, and Jarrett Van Bakel, who also recorded a triple.
Pitching duties were handled by starter French, who was relieved by Redfern for two innings, and Visneskie closed up in the final inning.
