Mosquitos Snap Two-Game Losing Streak With Win Over Exeter
The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros hosted Exeter Red on July 6th, bouncing back from two recent losses to down their visitors by a score of 21-4.
Starter Blake Redfern was effective early on the mound, striking out the side to open the game and totaling 5 K's in 3 IP.  Redfern also had a strong game at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and four runs scored.

The locals jumped on the bats quickly in the bottom of the first, plating five runs and never looking back from the lead.  After a one-out double by Redfern and a walk to Josh French, Kellen Russwurm blasted a three-run home run to right.  Two more walks were issued, followed by RBI base hits by Carter O'Brien and Calum Harris.  The scoring was spread around as 8 of 9 Mitchell batters all crossed the plate at least once.  Redfern and French would each score four times, followed by Russwurm and call-up Jarrett Van Bakel each with three runs.  Catcher French would add an RBI triple in the fourth inning, reaching base in all five at-bats.  Redfern was relieved by Nolan Vessie to close out the last two innings of the game.
