Mosquito OBA Earn Road Victory in Mount Forest
The Stickhandler Mosquito OBA Astros travelled to Mount Forest on June 9th, returning home with a solid 10-3 victory. Mount Forest opened the scoring in the first with three runs off of starter Caleb Templeman. That would be all the scoring they would do, as Templeman would bear down and face the minimum 9 batters over the next three innings. Ryan Hubbard pitched the last two innings in relief. Mount Forest would threaten in the last inning with the bases loaded but an alert pickoff attempt by catcher Jarrett Van Bakel ended in two runners being caught in rundowns, snuffing out the rally. Templeman helped his own cause with three runs scored, and Van Bakel would cross twice. Extra base hits were recorded by Van Bakel, Lucas Roobroeck, and Jack Small, and Jordan Visneskie stroked a three-run homer in the third during a six-run outburst.
