Game 6
Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Blue Tier 2 Major Rookies met up with Mitchell Team Red on a cold Wednesday, June 8th night for a second straight game.  As usual, both teams came out with strong at bats but Team Red was stronger in the field handing Team Blue the first loss of the season.  The final score through five innings of play would be 22 - 20 for Team Red.

This game saw doubles hit by Keegan Priestap, Logan Verberne, Ryan Klumper and Calum Harris.  Reaching base at each at bat was Brooklyn Bovile, Olen Hopf, Josie Walker, Wade Campbell and Matthew Meneheere.

Team Red would take the first inning with a score of 5 - 3.  Ryan Klumper would make the only out of the inning for Team blue with a ground out ball to first base.  

The second inning would see each team reach 7 runs for a score of 12 - 10 for Team Red.  Team Blue would make two outs, Calum Harris would tag the runner on his way to third base and Griffin Bree Would beat the runner for an out at second base.

In the third inning Team blue would put up 2 runs to Team reds 3 for a score of 15-12.  Both outs of the inning would come from Wade Campbell, first fielding a ground ball to through out to Ryan Klumper at first base.  Next Wade Campbell would tag a runner on the way to second base.

Team Red made their move in the forth inning putting up 7 runs to team blues 1 giving them a strong 22 - 13 lead.  Keegan Priestap would catch a line drive at third base for the first out.  Jose Walker would hit Matthew Meneheere at first base for the second out.

The final and fifth inning of play would see Blue put up 7 runs and limit team Red to 0 keeping the game close at 22 - 20.  Logan Verberne would catch a pop fly ball for the second out, and Calum Harris would get the third and final out with a throw to Jackson Kaufman at second base.
