The D.L. Hannon Minor Mosquitos pick up their 2nd win.
The D.L. Hannon Minor Mosquitos picked up their 2nd win in 24-7 decision against the Grand Bend Lakers on Wednesday May 30th.


Starting on the mound was Zack Siemon-Hergot who pitched two solid innings striking out four and allowing no runs in the second.  A pitching change was made in the third inning with Braden Hoegy making his pitching debut.  Closer, Charlie Wolfe, shut down the Lakers offensive charge in the final inning allowing no runs. Solid defence in the first inning held the Lakers to no runs with centerfield keeping the ball alive for the out at second to close the inning. Bottom of the 2nd inning with runners at 2nd and 3rd for Mitchell, Evan Pennings hit a double bringing in Ryan Klumper and Charlie Wolfe to score. Bottom of the 3rd with the bases loaded Ethan Jarmuth stepped up to the plate and cranked the ball far into right field for a grand slam home run. Logan Verberne rounded out the scoring with an RBI in the bottom of the forth inning to score Max Hannon for the final run of the inning. The D.L. Hannon Minor Mosquitos will see if they can maintain their winning ways when they face the Clinton Mustangs – Minor on Monday June 11th @ 6:30 pm at Mitchell Diamond D.
