COLD WET START TO 2014 PEE WEE #1 SEASON
The Mitchell Pee Wee #1 team started its season off with a win and a loss.  Two weeks ago, in Clinton, Mitchell started strong with Tyson McIntosh throwing three solid innings on the mound followed by James Copeland pitching the fourth.

Mitchell led 3-2 after four innings, but were stopped by a rain/lightening delay.  After the delay, in the wet and dark conditions, the momentum changed and the game did not go as smoothly.  Clinton rallied for a 14-10 win despite a great effort put forth including Reid Ramseyer's deep triple and McIntosh scoring two runs.

Last week in Exeter, under much sunnier conditions, Mitchell rallied for five runs in the final inning to win 11-7.  Singles by Curt Eidt, Ramseyer, Copeland, Alec Murray, McIntosh and Jake Walker contributed to the big inning.  Eidt started the game with three innings pitched and McIntosh picked up the victory with a quick final inning.  A double play by Eidt and Copeland finished the game off in style for Mitchell.
