Tough Loss Against Mitchell Team 2
In a back and forth offensive battle, Mitchell Tier 2 Team 1 would come out on top of Team 1 with a score of 10- 7. The Major Rookie Team 1 would keep their opponent scoreless for the first two innings, but would then allow a five run third inning to bring the game to a tie. Team 1 would gain two more runs in the fifth inning but would come up short as Team 2 would chip away at the lead and bring their run total to 10 for the game.
Scoring for Team 1 was Hayden Nicholson, Charlie Geiger, Josie Walker, Brennan Ward, Carter O'Brian, and Max VanDerVelde. Team 1's defensive play was led by Geiger as he would tag out two runners on the base paths, catch a pop fly, and snag a bullet thrown by Ward to make an out on first base.
