Mitchell Blue opened the 2016 season against their local counterparts, Mitchell's Team Red. Both teams came out hitting everything in site for a high powered offensive attack with Team Blue taking the first game 33 to 19.
Keegan Priestap and Griffin Bree each hitting for doubles followed by strong at bats by Jonah Gibbings, Wade Campbell and Ryan Klumper.
The difference may have been made up on defense with the glove of Logan Verberne making two big outs at second base.
Great job by the coach Chad Verberne and his staff of Jen Boville, Tim Walker, Dale Hopf in getting this team ready for the season ahead.
