The Stickhandler Tier 1 Major Rookies opened the OBA Tournament in Kingsville yesterday with a win, downing Blenheim 12-6. Jarrett Van Bakel smacked 2 doubles and scored 3 runs, and Dominic Marshall drove in 4 runs with a pair of doubles. The defensive highlight of the game was Carson Harmer recovering a deep hit fly ball in the outfield, relaying to Ryan Hubbard, who threw out the runner to catcher Jack Miller at home plate. Thanks to sponsor Gus Eyers from The Stickhandler for the WOBA Champs t-shirts, proudly worn after the game last night!

Cleanup hitter Lucas Roobroeck led the way at the plate going 5 for 5, and 3 runs each were scored by Josh French, Jarrett Van Bakel, and Roobroeck. Extra base hits were recorded by Roobroeck, Van Bakel, Jack Small, Jack Miller, and Jordan Visneskie.
