The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros competed in the Tier 3 division of the WOBA Mosquito Year-End Playoff Tournament Aug 11-13th, going 2-1 in round robin action but falling to eventually champion Mitchell Dearing in the semi-finals on Sunday morning.

The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros wrapped up their regular season on August 9th, hosting the Southwest London Scorpions Select.  The visitors came out swinging hard, touching starter Blake Redfern for five runs in the top of the first on route to an 15-8 victory over the locals.

The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros (Team French) faced a familiar opponent on July 31st, squaring off in Mitchell against the host Perth County Chrysler Mosquito Astros (Team Medhurst).

The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros travelled to St Marys on July 27th, returning home with an 18-6 victory. The locals took advantage of some inconsistent pitching in the game, drawing a total of eight walks, including three in the opening inning to build a 6-0 lead.  Jordan Visneskie and Josh French led at the plate, with Visneskie going 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles, an HBP and four runs scored.  French also stroked a double and scored four times.  Scoring twice each were Nolan Vessie, Blake Redfern, Kellen Russwurm, Brennan Ward, and Jarrett Van Bakel, who also recorded a ...

The Feeney Design Build Mosquito Astros embarked on a two game eastern road swing last week, suffering an 8-4 loss in Stratford on July 24th. The locals started off strong in the top of the first with three runs as Brennan Ward, Blake Redfern, and Jordan Visneskie all came in to score.  Stratford would match, leading to a 3-3 tie after one inning of play, but then shut the Astros bats down for four innings and pull ahead 8-3 in the bottom of the fifth.  Visneskie would again score in the sixth but that would be it for the offense, dropping an 8-4 decision to the host Nationals.
